The Camargue @ Christmas

A very enjoyable trip to the Camargue over Christmas with good company, excellent food and of course some birds!

Although, I didn't get any lifers (except a possible fly-over Citril Finch) there were some notable highlights including, according to the leader, me finding the bird of the trip, i.e. Black-winged Kite:

Bewick's Swan
Black Stork
Purple Swamphen
Little Bustard (distant)
one Slender-billed Gull
Black Woodpecker
Alpine Accentor
Penduline Tit
Pair of Bonelli's Eagles (my best ever view)
4 Wallcreepers
 Rock Sparrow
Good sized flock of Brambling
Yelkouan Shearwater
Rock Bunting
Out of season Squacco Heron and Wood Sandpiper
