Staines Reservoir (evening)

My new telescope has arrived and what a way to christen it. A trip to Staines Reservoir on the way home and the adult White-winged Black Tern was showing very well in very windy conditions on the north basin.

This was a fantastic bird with silvery grey wings and pure white tail. Even the red bill could be seen well as it dipped and dived over the water.

Also managed to pick up an Arctic Tern amongst the many Common Terns.
