Despite the changeable weather did manage to see a good variety of species:

• Banded Demoiselle
• Emerald Damselfly
• Large Red Damselfly
• Azure Damselfly
• Common Blue Damselfly
• Blue-tailed Damselfly
• Red-eyed Damselfly
• Migrant Hawker
• Southern Hawker
• Downy Emerald
• 3 Brilliant Emeralds
• Four-spotted Chaser
• Keeled Skimmer
• Common Darter

Black Pond (Esher) and Thursley Common

Hard work with the dragonflies today even though the weather is nice, warm and sunny - the breeze was quite strong.  I only managed brief views of a Brilliant Emerald at Black Pond.  Other species here were Emerald Damselfly, Large Red Damselfly, Common Blue Damselfly, Brown Hawker, Four-spotted Chaser and 3 Emperor Dragonflies.

At Thursley there were Emerald Damselfly, Small Red Damselfly, Common Blue Damselfly, Blue-tailed Damselfly, Migrant Hawker, Downy Emerald, Black-tailed Skimmer, Keeled Skimmer, and a couple of Black Darters
